THYME PINK LEMONADE

Thymus serphyllum `Pink Lemonade', pink, 2", June-August. I like this! I've always been on the "look-out" for a sported, all green, "Creeping Lemon Thyme" as what is in the trade is T.`Doone Valley'. This, a Mountain Valley Growers, Squaw Valley, CA selection is non-variegated(all green), lemon scented creeper! Dark green, closely spaced leaves. Tight habit for use in between pavers, stones, walkways, and has a rapid growth rate to fill these areas in within a season! A later bloomer than most and ESPECIALLY PROFUSE blooming! This also does well in a high, dappled shade canopy. Although this emits the lemon fragrance there are other "lemons" better suited for the kitchen. Not to remind you that this is a matting form so to harvest leaves is difficult. And the Lemon Scent is best sensed if walked on or rubbed. Sun, part-shade. zone5 "Pink Lemonade Creeping Lemon Thyme"
