Lamiastrum galeobdolon `Variegatum', yellow, 6-10", May-July. Strong stoloniferous form rooting in wherever a node has access to soil. Makes for an indestructable groundcover, semi-evergreen to evergreen if allowed to root in(means don't mulch it!).Very versatile. I've seen this in front of homes where they have quite a steep bank down to the road and this is thick and thriving taking on the elements of traffic and snow in winter and coming up in spring in a solid mat of silver-veined leaves and lipped flowers.Sun to part-shade.z4-9(syn.florintinum)
