I'LL FLY AWAY

Hosta `I'll Fly Away', near white, 22-24", June-July. MEDIUM. Mounds 17"high by 31"wide. Leaves 9"long by 5 1/2"wide(13/14 VP): corrugated, folded, wavy, rounded base, glaucous underside bloom, powder-blue on top, ovate. (2021, H.McDonell. `Neptune' x OP ). Intense BLUE in spring with "wings" at the base of the leaves. Upright, mounding habit enough to see the underside bloom. Keeps it's blue throughout the season. Some glad morning we'll all fly away to a home on God's celestial shore. Just a few more weary years and then I'll Fy Away to a land where collecting will never end.
