Hosta `Joseph', lavender, 17", August. SMALL. Mounds 11" high by 16" wide. Leaves 6" long 4-5" wide(8vp). Dark green with a nice gloss. Purple spotted petioles. (Kuk's Forest Nursery, 1990. Sport of H.`Josephine') Although appearing SIMPLE!? this is a 1995 Nancy Minks Award holder. This is an all-green sport of the streaked H.`Josephine' and was named after Bob Kuk's stepfather, Joseph Duale/ Shiny, dark green leaves, thick substance, and slightly heart-shaped with maroon spots on lower petioles. Slow grower. I got this one for my Biblical/Religious part of my collection.
