GINSU KNIFE STREAKED(Not For Sale)

Hosta `Ginsu Knife Streaked', registered as H.`Ginsu Knife Supreme', lavender, 32-34", July-August. MEDIUM. Mounds 15" high by 25"wide with a fairly good, medium growth rate. BUT you MUST cull out any NOT-STREAKED eyes! Leaves 9" long by 3" wide(6vp); streaked yellow and aging to cream than white by flowering; yellow turning to white margin(when culling make sure you keep the margin on your specimen, this is H.`Ginsu Knife'); serrated; shiny on top a bit; moderately twisted (wavy for me), oops the registration does say: moderately wavy; lance-shaped leaf; and a tapered base. Fountain shape, wavy, streaked with a very serrate margin. (R. Solberg, J.Schwarz, 2005. The sport of H.`Ginsu Knife'). I got my stock from a Del Val Society auction 19 Jul 2009 at Walter Cullerton's, then from Pineville, PA, society annual picnic. Original stock from the donor and the bid went up! We, my son Alex actually did the bidding on this one, got away with a mere $160.00! Barbara gave up! Not without offering a hug and a "peck on the cheek" asking for "a piece" in the future. I think this has been given the name `Ginsu Knife Supreme'? Streaked, intensely rippled, wavy, white margined (green centered) foliage; leaf 9 1/2" long by 4 3/4" wide.
