Hosta `Queen Josephine', purple, 36", July-August. MEDIUM. Mounds 17"high by 42"wide, leaves are 7"long by 5 1/2"wide(10vp); shiny dark green center with a 1"wide yellow margin, ovate, slightly wavy, smooth. Underside shiny; good substance. There's a few "shiny" hostas out there but I think this has to be our favorite. It shines from 20ft away! Imagine a Queen in a bikini swimming in the King's castle pond? (1991, Bob Kuk)
