Hosta `Emerald Necklace', medium purple, 47", July-August. Well, before start the "botanics" let us say we got this at the AHS auction 2007 from Van Wade! 195.00! Best friends with Bob Kuk! MEDIUM. Mounds 16"high by 33"wide. Leaves 5"long by 2.5-4"wide(5-9vp, depends on how many you're wearing for Mardi-Gras!). Smooth, whitish center in spring, turning to light green(Emerald) by summer. Ovate shaped. Good growth rate. Puckered and rippled/corrugated. This contrast between the dark green CORRUGATED margin ant the white to light green center that is SMOOTH brings this together to create the "NECKLACE" around the middle! Becoming scarce in the trade especially ORIGINAL stock! You don't get the puckering on the margin in tc!
