BRIDEGROOM

Hosta `Bridegroom', bright purple, 18-24", July-August. MEDIUM. 8-16"high by 10-34"wide. Leaves 5-6"long by 4"wide(6-9vp). Leaves dark green, shiny, rippled, and distinctly upturned and twisted tip! Rumour has it that the name is suggestive of a bridegroom's "tongue" on his wedding night. I figure its kinda like a "thirsty dog" tale. (1990, H.& D.Benedict & H.Gowen.
