NIPPERS

Hosta `Nippers', near PINK! throughout!, 11-13", June-July. SMALL-medium. Mounds 10" high by 12"wide. Leaves 2" long by 2"wide(9-11vp!). A lot of vein pairs for such a small leaf! Dark green, nearly round. SUPER CORRUGATED, and cupped! This is this crinkly bunch of leaves emerging in spring and staying super crinkly/wrinkly all season! Thick substance. Something we haven't paid much attention to in our descriptions is the way the leaves are held? These leaves are held at a 90-degree angle from the petiole(stem)! The flowers are just above the foliage. This is a pudgy little beauty! (R. Goodenough, 2006.
