WHITE WALL TIRE

Hosta `White Wall Tire', very pale lavender, 33-40", June-September. MEDIUM. Mounds 12-16"high by 30-44"wide. Leaves 8-11"long by 3-5"wide(8-10vp); spring eyes and first leaves emerge PURE WHITE, but it's NOT `White Feather'. This turns green quicker than white feather, BUT! Keeps more white in the leaves all season! The second color is like `White Feather' also being white with prominent green veins. As mentioned, you will always see the evidence of the "white wall" thru the season. `White Feather' will eventually look all green. So if you riding around in a 1964 beetle bug and don't have the right tires on it, NOW is the time to CHANGE! Leaves are ovate-lance shaped; average substance; slightly rippled. (1995, Tony Avent.
