CRUMB CAKE

Hosta `Crumb Cake', purple, 18-20", July-August. SMALL sometime looks mini. Mounds 5" high by 14"wide. Leaves 3" long by 2.5"wide(5-6vp); golden yellow, chartreuse-greeny shiny by flowering time; moderately wavy, very rounded! (characteristically noticeable!), and flat mound also noticeable; red petioles. Pretty big flowers for a small hosta coming in at 2"long and very tubular(makes them stand out more so than not). I just re-read the registry. There they describe it good with a "honey-gold" color. That's where the shiny-chartreuse(but that really wasn't the color I was looking for)came in. Honey-gold is right on! Wavy, flat mound, red petioles and tube flower all made this make me turn my head and come back to it!(2008, R.Solberg.H.`Cinnamon Sticks' x `Cracker Crumbs')
