FIDDLE-E-DEE(OS!)(Anita Kistler)

Hosta `Fiddle-e-dee', lavender, 10", July. MINI. This stock original comes from the late Anita Kistler, West Chester, PA. Green leaves with a long stem and a rounded leaf resembling a fiddle? This name tagged by Don Herzog from what was Miniature Plant Kingdom. We were given a clump by Anita Herself. She was very good friends with my dad, Clif(1931-2011) and would make yearly visits with her "kronie" Ruth Shephard. They would come in the old time camper on the back of a small pick-up, Herb Shephard the chauffer. As you will later in our listing, when we were given our clump we called ours H.`Spoon Paddle' because it appeared like a "spoon" shape but from our years in Peru, South America it resemble a "canoe paddle", the stem being the handle and the oval shape at its end the paddle. Caught between we said `Spoon Paddle'. Miniature Plant Kingdom, being on the national circuit got it around a bit at conventions and his mail order. Jim's hosta is the only other known possible source. There was is a clump in Barbara Tiffany's garden as of 2012. Anita gave us our clump in 2005.
