MASQUERADE

Hosta `Masquerade', purple, 20", July. MINI very SMALL. Mounds 6"high by 18"wide. White centered, green-margined leaves 3 3/4"long by 1 1/2"wide. Often misted white centers. Leaves elliptic-shaped, wavy, smooth-textured, and thin-substance. A slugs smorgasborg! But in every garden/collection I've ever seen. Fast growth rate. You have to keep and eye on this one as it has a high rate of sending out green and off white eyes. Keep these cut out of the clump and you'll keep a good specimen. Let one go and in a few years don't be surprised if you come out one day and seen your mound of `Masquerade" masqueraded you in!
