WHEE

Hosta `Whee', lavender, 20", July-August. MEDIUM. Very wavy foliage with green center and yellow to creamy-white margin. I mean super, very wavy. More than a roller-coaster ride. More than a surf wave. This is up there with one's like H.`Praying Hands'. They're so weirdly unique you stare at them and whether you like hosta or not you just want one! Found by Bill Meyer from Willingboro, NJ(a friend, by the way, of RGW!). He thinks it may be seedling from H.`Leola Fraim'. If you've ever been to a "First Look"(a couple day hosta "groupie" meeting where they show their "toys")this one garnered 1st place in 2 catagories! The "Kevin Vaughn Award"(judges vote) and the "Frances Williams Award"(attendees vote)as the BEST SPORT of the 'First Look" seedling and sport competition!
