Erodium chrysanthum, pale yellow, 10-15", April-May. Maybe a flower or two all summer. Just when you turn your head there's another flower there. Nice! Grey-green, felty looking, feathery textured leaves. Forms mounds to 18"wide or so. Likes it dry and drained. Grows from a crown. Best in a sunny location. Will survive in places such as rock walls! "real" rock gardens(scree, limestone soils, sandy soils, rocky-pebble ridden soils). Great in hypo-tufas(those container things). Comes from Greece up in the mountains or alps as some have it. Although from afar it was picked as a Great Plant Pick for the Pacific Northwest in 2007! Intoduced by the Plant Select program of Colorado State University and Denver Botanic Garden. So you have further back-up that it's a"Great" plant. We've been growing for at least 10yrs. Sold ourselves out of stock 2 years ago. We have reacquired stock from .zone6(San Marcos Growers has it down to zone5&4, or to 10-15degrees, that's cold!)
