Hosta undulata `Variegated'(`Medio-variegata'), pale lavender, 24-36", July-August. MEDIUM. Mounds 12"high by 32"wide of wavy, white-centered foliage. Medium green margin 1/8" to 1/2"wide. Leaves 6"long by 2 5/8"wide. This is the one you see in front of just about every house or yard where a hosta is. Indescructable. Grandmas hosta. Early season the centers white variegation stands out. As the season progresses they eventually become near all green. Very quick multiplier forming thick borders wherever you usually see this. Used most often on commercial sites, parking lots, islands. Grows great in sun, shade, any soil.(2001 AHS)
