Lavandula angustifolia `Fiona English', dark purple with violet corolla, 18-26", July-September. Thick flower stems make for "GREAT CLIPS"(cut flower). Flower spikes are short, held just above the foliage. One of the more ornamentally colorful cultivars makes for an ideal choice for a lavender hedge or herb knot garden, border. Nice and tidy and compact. "English Lavender" zone5. Named by Peter Carter, New Zealand, in the early 1990s. Purple buds open to lavender-blue with a slight pink cast.
