Chelone grabra, white, 12-36", July-September. Flowers are sometimes tinged pink, tubular, turtlehead-shaped in clusters. Once established this is a durable patch-former than can reach to 6ft wide. In its native habitat we find this in wet thickets, streambanks, low ground. Excellent for meadow plantings and naturalizing landscapes. From Ontario to Nova Scotia; south though New England to Georgia; west to Missouri; north to Minnesota. NATIVE. zone3-8 "Turtlehead"
