PATRIOT(1997 HoY)

Hosat `Patriot', medium lavender, 22-28", July-August. MEDIUM. Mounds 23"high by 50"wide of white-margined foliage, dark green center. Leaves 8"long by 6.5"wide(10-12vp); ovate-shaped, slightly wavy, thin underside bloom, very good substance, lightly corrugated. One of the top five recognizable hostas in the world probably! This one is used a lot in apartment landscapes and commercial areas, strip malls. Tolerates drought like you wouldn't believe and stays looking nice. Grows in full sun in some places I'v seen it. The mound size may be cut in half but the leaves and flowers are just as strong. Super wide white margin and the corrugated leaves make even the non-hosta person a "patriot" of hostas!
