Hosta `Big Daddy', near-white, 24-32", June-July. LARGE. Mounds 25" high by 66" wide. Leaves 15" long by 10 1/2" wide, heavily corrugated, deep blue in spring, blue-green midseason, deep green by fall. Leaves broadly ovate, slight cupping, very thick substance; thick bloom on top and underside. Another for anyone thinking of planting a hosta. Very tolerant of slugs as the leaves are so thick. Very good growth rate. H.sieboldiana background.(1998 Paul Aden)
