Hosta `Birthday Candles', pale lavender with faint striping in center of petals: tubular(like a trumpet), 24-28", June-July. MEDIUM. Mounds 10"high by 32"wide. Leaves: 6" long by 4" wide(9-10vp); greenish-yellow(chartreuse) with slightly ripple margins(very slightly); broadly ovate with cordate base (nicely heart-shaped), moderately wavy? There's more waves on the ocean when you wave that flag higher and higher! That's the scapes! They stand way above (higher) than the mound! Registration states!: Lavender flowers on Candlesticks(tall) scapes AND named for the originator's Birthday? Says when it blooms? So is he June 1st or July 15?
