BLIZZARD(Not For Sale)

Hosta `Blizzard', pale lavender with darker lavender stripes in the center, large and bell-shaped, 39", July-August. LARGE. Mounds 35"high by 65" wide. Leaves 20"long by 15"wide(14-15vp); greenish-yellow with UNSTABLE streaks of white; flat; slightly shiny on top; glaucous bloom underneath; moderately cupped and moderately corrugated; broadly ovate. Not just a coincidence that I'm getting this one "back" today, here in PA 4 January, 2018. The 1st REAL snow and BLIZZARD since 1996! Well I got his back in 16 June, 2005 at the AHS National Convention, Ohio vender tables. We had a farm cat we named Blizzard 'cause he walked into the barn during a blizzard. He was black and a white stipe. He took to my son Alex like glue! We had him for 6 years before he decided to cross the road one night! And you know what happened to the chicken that tried to cross the road? He never made it to the other side! If that ever happens to one of your hostas then it's time to get Rooster and put him on a pole, so he cheers for the American Hosta Society 'cause WE HAVE Soul!
