CHOO CHOO TRAIN

Hosta `Choo Choo Train', pale lavender, 30", July. LARGE. Mounds 26"high by 75"wide. Bright gold, heavily rippled leaves 16"long by 11"wide(17vp). Broadly ovate, deeply lobed base(very distinct, means the leaf folds towards the base of the stem), curled tip, and! Mark Zilis actually counted the ripples along the leaf margin! 17 ripples! per leaf. Like the "ripple on still water when no pebble has been thrown"! This was on our best specimen award list for the 2006 AHS convention we hosted! Spectacular! We played the Monkies "Last Train To Clarksville" when people looked at it! while getting a burger/dog/shish-ka-bob at one of our 5 grilling stations! (1999, T. Sears, Tony Avent. Parentage unknown)
