BLUE LETTUCE

Hosta `Blue Lettuce', pale purple, 27-30", June-July. LAGRE. Mounds 22"high by 46"wide. Leaves 10"long by 8.5"wide(12-13vp); blue-green, glaucous bloom on leaf(looks REAL blue in spring), glaucous bloom underneath as well(this holds thru the season); very wavy, unruly leaves; moderately corrugated, cupped; broadly ovate. Thick substance. The description "unruly" keeps being put with this but I'm trying to figure out what "lettuce leaf" is more "unruly"?. Romaine lettuce is upright, tightish, but the leaves are wavy. Iceberg?, I would say is unruly after you rip it apart for salad! It's not Bib, to small and round and smooth. I know! Those little bunches they sell in the plastic bowl where you get a red one, green one, and another reddish0gree. They're unruly!(2012,M.Zilis.H.`Gold Regal'x H.`Blue Vision')
