Hosta `Marilyn Monroe', PURPLE, 20-24", September. MEDIUM. Mounds 17"high by 36"wide of frilly, very wavy(the dress blowing over the air vent?)with an INTENSE white back(the dress color?). Leaf 8"long by 6.5"wide but she could "bust up" to 9"long by 6.75"wide(13vp); broadly ovate-shaped; red petioles(stand out); good substance. Definitely a head twister in the pin-up hosta collection! (2005,J.Hawes from H.longipes`Urajiro Hachijo'seedling; sibling to `Candy Dish' and `Smokey' from which the traits can be very "you look just like your brother/sister")
