PRAIRIE SKY

Hosta ``Prairie Sky', MEDIUM. An upright mound of powdery blue foliage with THICK underside bloom. Mounds 14-18"high by 15-20"wide. Very upright, vase-shaped. Leaves 7"long by 6"wide(9-11vp). Pale lavender, 18-24", July-August. cupped, nearly round, corrugated. (2005, H.Hansen, Shady Oaks Nursery. Complex [(seedling of H.rupifraga x H.Maruba Iwa)x H.`Blue Jay'] This remains chalky blue throughout the season, even in flower! Upright enough to see the WHITE backs of the leaves. Thickly packed flower on short stubby scapes just above the foliage. (PP#17309)
