THUMBS UP

Hosta `Thumbs Up', purple, 20", July. SMALL. Mounds 10"high by 22"wide. Green centered foliage with SHARP contrasting white margin. Leaves 4.5"long by 3"wide(8vp); ovate-shaped, smooth textured, and good substance. Good grower. We give it a "thumbs up"! This isn't just for a collector! This for anyone who gardens and gives the "thumbs up" no matter where or when, as long as it's GOOD! The thumb finger! They haven't named one for the other fingers....yet! And just to add to the nuttiness of naming hostas, this is a sport of H.`Achy Breaky Heart'(Chet Atkins?, Miley Cyrus? oh, just googled it! Billy Ray Cyrus!) A gues that draws a "thumbs up" from ya'all country folk! Another interesting "thumbs up" observation from this hosta is the margin is fairly wide, often producing small streaks into the leaf center.(1999, Jim Schwartz) Our stock from Jim during the 2008 convention.
