RHINO HIDE

Hosta `Rhino Hide', white!, 18-20", June-July. LARGE but often medium 'cause not grown in fertile soil or competing with to much "stuff"! Mounds with a "happy Rhino" are 20"high by 30"wide. Leaves 6-8"long by 6-8"wide(15-17vp). makes for an incredible perfectlt symmetrical leaf that is sooooo thick!, in fact, purported to be the 2nd MOST THICKEST leaf on a hosta to date! What's the 1st? That'll cost ya case of "bubbly", I'm not one for chocolates, keep sending them to Tony A.! But that's just for a catalog? A "Rhino" gotta cost ya a bit more! The thickest of hides in the animal(hosta)kingdom! Very thick, unruly foliage, blue-green but more blue in spring with a narrow gold band in leaf center; leaves tend to be deeply cupped and are super corrugated. Very slow growth rate!(2007 D.Rawsen)
