Hosta `Kifukurin Ubatake', purple, 18", August. MINI. Small mounds maxing out at 12"high if that and 25"wide. Always seen much smaller but the guy with the ruler found one maxed out! Leaves 5"long by 2"wide with a 1/8"wide gold margin. Leaf blade narrowly ovate-shaped and slightly wavy. Sport of H.pulchella. Listed as H.pulchella `Kifukuren' but has been changed to H.`Kifukuren Ubatake' to distinguish it from other yellow-edged hosta cultivars.(2002 P.Ruh)
