v.DELTA DAWN

Heuchera x `Delta Dawn', green-yellow, 12", June-August. Large, round leaves, lightly lobed with
red centers and a yellow margin in spring, then lushes to lime green during summer and return with intensity with red centers in fall an remain evergreen thru the winter months. During summer while the lush of the leaves happens the red veins remain prominent. Mounds to 14"wide and flowers are shorter than taller, makes this compact and full! Compared to H.`Miracle' (which as of this writing do not grow anymore) as H.`Delta Dawn' has larger leaves and habit, more colorful, and much more vigorous. And as compared to H.`Tiramisu' and H.`Miracle', `Delta Dawn' has leaves and vein color that persists much better than the previous! Offered in the Mount Cuba 3 year trials this received a high rating, 2014. Also in the Colorado State Perennial Trials in 2013. Part-shade, shade. zone4-9. From terra Nova Nurseries, pp#23545. Mount Cuba's observations: Chartreuse cultivar with new growth bright coral centered with lime-green edges. Similar color pattern to H.`Tiramisu', however the emerging foliage of `Delta Dawn' is more vivid. Flowers somewhat insignificant as they don't stand out against the summer foliage. `Delta Dawn' though, was one of the longest blooming cultivars trialed. Scorching was observed in sun, so `Delta Dawn' should be grown in more shade than not.
