PURPLE DE ORO

Hemerocallis `Purple De Oro', medium dark purple with lighter midrib and edge above gold throat, 20", July with Re-Bloom, 3"flower. 25 buds per branch with 3 branches per set of blooms. Diploid, dormant. A selection from Degroot, 2001.
This is at the top of the landscape performance "Daylily" chart! I think this should be interplanted with it's parent `Stella De Oro' and people will begin to enjoy more the entrances to their developments, neighborhoods, and just enjoy getting their mail more often if they had this bright 'Color Purple" at their feet instead of a field of chamomile! You can only drink so much tea in a day! Daylilies can grow anywhere. Back growing up with grandma and great-grandma, we had these planted on the sides of the outhouse.
