Deschampsia caespitosa `Goldtau', inflorescens open yellow-green and the whole clump has nice fall color. Super dense mounds of grass-like foliage 12-24"high. Flower panicles extend high above the clumps to 48". Great as an accent and especially useful in mass plantings, forming huge sweeping clouds of flowers that change over the course of the season. A cool season grower, it prefers moist habits, such as shores, meadows, bogs, and damp woodlands. But don't let this limit its use. Thrives impeccably in sunny dry conditions.
