Epimedium wushanense `Sandy Claws'(E.wushanense `Spiny-leafed Form'), sulphur yellow, 12-15", April-May. EVERGREEN! large, glossy leaves are thick, up to 6"long!, bronmze to dark purple tinged and very toothed/spiny/sharp toothed/prickly or however you want to call a spiny dragon-back edged leaf!. The display of flowers is somewhat different also in that they are dense "clusters" of flowers on wiry stems! If located in good soil it can set rhizomes up to 4"long per year! making a thick patch/clump in no time! BUT, only expect 1/2 from Sandy and you'll be rewarded with her "crabby claws"! zone5
