RUSTIC GLOW

Chrysanthemum x `Rustic Glow', burnt orange/cantaloupe orange, 18-20", October-November. 14-16 flowers per stem. 20-26 self-branching stems! Large daises 3 1/2" across! Wide open single daises. The buds are more of the burnt-orange color. In full bloom the color is more a rich, freshly caught!, salmon-orange. Some say salmon pink, but that sounds like a farm raised salmon? More in line with the registered color I would call it a cantaloupe-orange. Spectacular fall show as the cooler weather actually improves the color, not like the garden mums where the cold and even frosty nights blanche their flowers. This is one of the five in the "Global Warming Mum" series from Sinclair Adam. Crosses of C.rubellum x C.indicum, with C.indicum`Sheffield' being a parent. Sun, zone4-9
