Buddleia davidii `Distant Castle', purple, 6-9'(ft!), August-October. HUMONGEOUS cones to 3ft long! This is an original from Quakin' Grass Nursery, Brooklyn, CT. A seedling but observed long enough to "let go". And of course we are the "pawns" that get it! Perennial gotta haves! They quote it as still performing on 17 October, 2015. And so, this date will stand in the description. I quess 20 years from now when other perennial nuts find out about it and have to get one and they question it authenticity! I may be long gone and in the hill of a distant castle but don't count me out! I'll see you up yonder to talk about the enormity of this cone! Imagine the extra space for butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and bugs! Worlds biggest heliport for winged critters! Sun, all soil.
