frikartii MONCH(gallon)

Aster frikartti `Monch', blue, 20", June-December. A gotta-have aster for its blooming presence! Although A.friakrtii tends to be what we call a "short-lived" perennial (3-5yrs) that is still long enough to enjoy the garden power this has to provide color and a pollinator plant for all summer. Sun or part-shade. Not one of our natives but hey, I like Chinese take out and Mexican! This a hybrid between A.amellus x A.thomsonii by a guy named Frikart. A.`Monch' from these frikarts(make sure you say the r and k or it may sound like a passing of gas?). Anyway, A.`Monch' was selected for it's larger daises than the others with yellow centers and on more compact, bushy plants. "Frikart's Aster" zone6
