THYME CAPE MAY

Thymus puligioides `Cape May', pink, 8", June. This is right up there with THE BEST CULINARY thymes I've come across! YES, actually preferred over English and French and Creeping and Lemon and... This has the most perfect leaves, rounded, soft and full of flavor/aroma, perfect symmetry for container and in the garden forms a perfect mound of perpetual harvestable leaves! Flowers are borne towards the tops of the stems leaving a 3-6"stem of leaves still ready for cooking! Makes me want to rub my face in this bush! And, yes, named for Cape May, New Jersey where it was distinguished as "different" and thus named! zone5
