FENNEL(1995 HoY of year)

Foeniculum vulgare dulce.Semi-hardy perennial usually grown as an annual, reaching to 4ft with feathery green leaves. Small yellow flowers in umbels from July to October. Licorice scented leaves as well as the seeds are used in the kitchen. Fennel's delicate flavor is destroyed by heat, so add at the end of the recipe. Full sun with humusy, well-drained soil. "Berfena" is a selection with a taller and sturdier growth habit and stronger flavor. Good for both fresh leaf and seed production. Salads, soups, stews, fish, poultry. Some how a seedling got dropped off in house #2. It grew through the bench! I/we/and so much to share! 4ft high and 3ft wide as a LEAF FENNEL! All summer 2021!
