Allium sativum `Ophioscordon'(Curly Stemmed Hard-neck Garlic), the leaves and underground bulb smell of garlic(this is a variety of Garlic Bulb)and can be used in the same manner. Not all garlic has a stem that is the prdominent use of the plant. THIS IS! The flower stalks CURL into DOUBLE LOOPS and produce numerous small bulblets encased in a papery sheath.
