Solidago bicolor, white, creamy white to yellowish, 22-24", August-October. The only "Goldenrod" in the eastern United States with white rays! The slightly yellowish look comes from the color of the stamens and pollen. Single stem-like flowering. Spike-like as a Liatris spicata. Extrememly pollinator attractive, fragrant. The flower head has tubular disk flowers flowers and in the center the ray flowers are often strap-shape, around the periphery. Extensively eastern United States: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont. Fields, roadsides, woodlands, disturbed open areas. Meadows and fields. Beautiful! I like it. Totally different than all other "Goldenrods"! Sun, part-shade,a nd high canopy woodlands! zone 4! and less! "White Goldenrod"
