Solidago ohiensis. yellow, 36", July-September. Dense umbels. Attractive folige. Leaves are long, smooth, glossy and form thick clumps. The flowers heads are cresent in shape and are at the top of thick stems. If you've gone "naked"(native really)and want ot help save the world then keep the state of Ohio in mind. "ohioensis" can you guess where Christopher Columbus found this? The he envited the Pilgrims and all hell broke loose! Now ya got the Ohio Buckeyes! Who can stop them! If you can't find any turkeys to shoot then shoot your friend!(NO!not really!That's only if you can't save the whales!) Anyways! This does grow in Ohio and just about anywhere you go in Ohio to include along the river! Another one of those great "garden" plants that you can plant any never have to worry(think)about!
