sempervirens

Lonicera sempervirens, trumpet-shaped flowers are scarlet to orangish-red on the outside and yellowish on the inside, 6-15'(ft!)and then some!, June-August. This is a strong growing, NATIVE vine. Flowers appear at stem ends in whorled clusters. Oval, bluish-green leaves. Beautiful red berries follow the flowers and will remain thru the fall if the birds don't get them 1st! Some friends have stated this brings more hummingbirds than any plant they have or seen! AND through out the whole summer as long as there is a flower showing! Sun or shade. Most often trellised but I've seen this just planted in some gardens and it scrambles and rambles all over looking spectacular. A vine shows up and a flower all over giving you color everywhere!
