DANCING CRANE

Zingiber mioga `Dancing Crane', 36" with stalks 12" long x 2 1/2"wide with white centered leaves. The center streaks into the green margin making this a talker although all parts ARE edible. Light-yellow orchid-like flowers show at the base of this plant late summer, August-September, which are edible as well, best suited for a salad. Easy to growing in a container. In the ground it can get to become a mesmerizing specimen to 5 feet wide. Quite hardy to zone 6. A selection from the famed Japanese nursery Gotemba.
